OUR TEACHING
STRATEGY & METHODS

RTA has opted for a dynamic flexible teaching structure. We offer our students a combination of options that provide differentiated access to information and education: face to face, supported by our on-line platform. For each course our students receive a professionally designed, downloadable and comprehensive Study Guide. Our teaching strategy and methods are guided by the RTA Policy on Teaching and Learning. The Policy provides for annual teaching and learning evaluation, reviews and the input of students.

ASSESSMENT

Assessment is part and parcel part of our teaching and learning strategies. We employ a range of assessment strategies and activities, both formative (continuous) and summative (final), to offer our students the best opportunity to demonstrate in meaningful ways that course outcomes have been achieved. Assessment criteria is carefully designed and implemented to serve the exit level outcomes of each course. We adhere to the assessment principles of fairness, validity, inclusivity, transparency and reliability. We do not train our students to pass an examination. We educate to appreciate the outcomes.
